WHO ARE WE

Established in the 1970's, the St. Louis Treasury Management Association (STLTMA) is a non-profit, professional development organization incorporated in the State of Missouri. We provide an active and open exchange of ideas, concepts and techniques related to the practice of treasury and cash management as well as a local peer network. The organization has approximately 75 members, which represent a wide cross-section of local industry. Members come from both large and small regional companies as well as from educational institutions, hospitals and government entities.

STLTMA conducts ten monthly meetings during which guest speakers discuss timely, relevant treasury-related issues. The meetings usually begin with a 5:30pm social hour, include an hour professional meeting and conclude with dinner. Through attendance at the monthly meetings, members can qualify for Certified Cash Management (CCM) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. At least once a year, we ask the bankers who work with our employers to join in our monthly meetings.

An Executive Committee governs STLTMA. The Committee includes a President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President-Programs, Vice President-Membership, and Vice President-Government Relations. All officer positions are filled by volunteers who are elected by the membership.

STLTMA encourages member participation in the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) formally known as the National Treasury Management Association (TMA). In addition to offering a wide range of continuing educational opportunities, professional certification and industry standards initiatives, AFP has become an invaluable resource for disciplines represented in organizational and corporate treasury areas. Together with affiliate organizations, AFP works to increase professional skills and to enhance the recognition and credibility of the finance and treasury professionals.

We hope our website serves as a valuable resource for our members and other treasury professionals.
